1 Chronicles 16:11
Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
I often think about how marvelous life, the “ever after life”, will be when I get to see His face. But until then I’m simply going through my day, seeking, drawing and hopefully glorifying Him.
So how could I explain it to someone that doesn’t know Him the way that I’m coming to know Him?
As a grandmother, a “Lollie”, when my grand kids see me for the 1st time that day, it’s as if they hadn’t seen me in years. They are so excited! When I see their face, my heart skips probably 20 beats. I literally draw strength from their excitement. And when they run and wrap their arms around me my soul melts. And at that moment, Life is Okay!
That is how it is when I’m looking to the Lord and His strength; seeking his face always. When I see Him for the 1st time that day, His words speak to me, exactly with the words that need to be spoken. There are times, so many times, that they are so expressive that I can literally see the joy on His face or the tears streaming down His cheeks as His arms are wrapping around me and my soul melts into His mercy and grace. And at that moment, Life is Okay!
So “Look to the Lord and his strength;seek his face always”.
Lord, without You I am nothing. Amen!
