John 16:32 “Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me.”
Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my honor depend on God;
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
8 Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.

There are times in our lives when it seems that everyone around us is moving away from us. Pulling back and creating their own space without us. And lonely hits! We wonder and we cry out “WHY?”. There will be seasons but they will not last. They come and go like the weather, in and out of our lives. Hurt! Fear! Anger! But “WHY?” In those times particularly seek out comfort from the Lord. He will use this time of “Lonely” to strengthen us. To open our eyes to others who may need us. To teach us how to depend on Him more. Don’t curl up and hide away in your lonely! Reach out, He is there with you always.
Lord I am grateful! You are dependable, trustworthy, compassionate, loving and present. Amen!

For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.
In this season that is so commercialized to entice you to spend lots of money in hopes to put the biggest smile on someone’s face, we must remember that the biggest gift we can give someone is our love.
For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
If we love then it’s not going to matter the size of the gift but that it was given in love.
We can tend to get financially in debt and stressed out with all the hype and that is not how we should feel.
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.
So step back and evaluate our gifts. And always remember that a gift may not have any monetary value at all but could have the biggest impact on the receiver.
