I wrote some as a young child. Most of the writings were about boys! And then life started happening. Didn’t really have anything worth writing about during those times.

School, boys, marriage, children and divorce took the place of putting my thoughts on paper.

After the divorce, I quickly remarried and started a new life. As most young married with children, our life was hectic. But when the boys grew up and moved into starting their own life, I also found my voice.

I started out by doing face book posts about how God was working in my life. They began really short and then turned into a fairly long face book post. When one day a friend suggested I start a blog. So that is what I did. You can find those blog posts in the menu from the home page.
When you find your voice, you will also find those who would rather that you keep it to yourself. They won’t support you because of their own issues. Don’t let them stop you.

I published blogs for quite some time and then life started getting busier and harder so I slowed down.
God works are a mystery. I look back now and can see every twist and turn of God’s plan. He soon led me to a new project.

God led me to working towards my life coaching certification. That was a long intense few years of study, classes, interning and working a full time job. One may ask, what does coaching have to do with writing. I’m getting to that.

Soon after, I finished my certification, the nudging to write a book kept at me. The route in which he took me was interesting but that is a different story. You can purchase my book by clicking my picture above..
God was working on me, healing me and preparing me for a beautiful journey with Him.
Shortly after publishing my workbook, I gathered a group of women and began the Christian Women Authors of Winchester in Kentucky. From there we have done a community writer’s workshop, we’ve taken that workshop to the women’s prison, slightly adjusted for their benefit. Now we’re working on production of a podcast that will be broadcasted into the prison systems. This is an exciting venture.
But God also drew me in closer to him by introducing me to a place to go that would allow me to hear him speak. That started what is now “Finding my Way to Him Silent Retreat” that I host two times a year at a local abbey. I produce and write all the guided materials for the retreats. You can also find the link in the menu for more information on the Silent Retreats.
God had a plan for me some 60 years ago. I took slow gentle steps with His guidance.
How is God leading you in your writing? Are you listening? What steps do you need to take?
