Goodness

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is goodness…….. against such things there is no law.

“I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you” – Are we awake to it?

Exodus 33:19  And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

“Your goodness and love will follow me” – Are we dwelling in it?

Psalm 23:6  Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

“I will see the goodness in the land of the living”  – Are we confident of it?

Psalm 27:13  I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.

“Lord, have helped me and comforted me” – Are we watching for it?

Psalm 86:17 Give me a sign of your goodness, that my enemies may see it and be put to shame, for you, Lord, have helped me and comforted me.

“God will make you worthy of His calling” – Are we desiring and being prompted by Faith?

2 Thessalonians 1:11 With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith.

Lord, I come seeing Your goodness in my life every day.   I do waver at times, finding myself questioning my path, asking “why?” and wondering if I’m enough.  But then I’m reminded by the loving nudge of a friend, a tight squeeze of a loved one or the gentle whispers of Your voice, that says “yes, you are enough”.  I’m grateful!  Lord I come asking for You to be with my family and friends.  Asking You to let them feel Your presence in their lives.  Praying that they will recognize it to be Your goodness and be thankful.  Amen!
