1 Peter 5:10
And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
You know the greatest thing about our Lord is that regardless of how far in the pit you’ve gone, regardless of how messy you’ve gotten and regardless of how painful things have been, He promises to restore you to who He created to be. I’ve learned that and I’ve accepted that. What a freeing place to be and the peace in you soul will be amazing. Understand that this is not assurance that we won’t slip back into the pit, that our life won’t ever be messy again or that we will never be afflicted with pain, but it is assurance that we DON’T HAVE TO STAY THERE! And then the more and more we trust, the quick and quicker we are restored. Being restored yearly, monthly, daily and sometimes hourly until there will be no need for restoration because we’ll be sitting next to Him in eternity.
Trust that God is the God of all grace, and He is calling you into eternal glory in Christ, that after you have suffered a little while, He will restore you and make your strong, firm and steadfast. He has the power!
Lord I come to You today grateful! Grateful that I no longer have to stay in the pit that I find myself in sometimes, my messes get less messy and my pain gets easier to bare because I know that I have You to restore me. I ask You to be with my family and friends. I pray that they will turn to You always and will trust in Your power of restoration. Amen!
