Question Friday

Am I loving others as God loves me?

Matthew 22:36-40 [Full Chapter]

“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. …

1 John 4:19-21

We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

Philippians 2:3-4

Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Micah 6:8

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

1 Thessalonians 5:15

See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone.

Galatians 5:14

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”

John 13:35

By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Lord, help me to be aware.  Help me to love as You have shown me love.  Help me to love those who seem unlovable.  Help me to love beyond! Amen!
