Matthew 19:26

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

With God nothing is impossible but without God everything is impossible!

I would love to say that “I have never tried to figure things out on my own”, “I have never made choices without consulting God first”, “I have never thought that I could manage it without some help”and “I have never tried to manage others”.  I would love to say that!

But regretfully I can’t! There are many reasons why a person can grow up to be a controller. To feel that need to have it all together.  To make sure that no one is going to take advantage of you.  There are many reasons!

As we age, we find out that we can’t do it on our own.  We don’t have it all together.  We can’t control all things and we have no control over others.  We are POWERLESS!  Even with God we are powerless over these things but with God we have all the Power of Him behind us. As it says in Matthew 5:3  “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

What does admitting that we are PowerLess remove us from?

So there are 4 things to do………….

Stop denying the pain and Stop playing God.

Start admitting your powerless and Start admitting your life is unmanageable.

These are the 1st steps to ADMITTING YOUR POWERLESS. And releasing it to God!

Lord I come to you in Praise. Praise that I have seen you work in ways that is well beyond my imagination. Lord it seems that I let it go to You and then I want to take it back.  Help me not allow fear to control me and hence me then want to control everything.  I know that You only have the perfect plan and my desire is Your desire.  Help me to rely on only You.  Amen!
