Where does the Time go?

I’m going to be perfectly honest with you about a weakness that I’m finding myself falling into. I’m not tracking my time! I’m falling behind! I’m at a loss!

This is a new thing for me. Normally, I am a make a list, get it done and have free time kind of gal but I’m at a different place I guess.

I’ve found myself with some time. Time at home. Time with no real obligations. Time with no one pulling at me. And time to just be. I’ve never really had that!

My mind is thinking, ‘What’s wrong with you Rhonda!” You are writing lists, putting things on your calendar and just skipping right over them.

Then I changed those words that I would think to, “Rhonda, take all the time you need.” and remembered Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

A Time for Everything

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.

If we let it, this world, other people and our own thoughts will keep us living by the time it shows on that watch. Always feeling like you can never get caught up and always falling behind. Even the bible talks about there is a time for everything.

I think that the Lord is allowing me time to just “BE”. Having the time to just “BE” who he created me to be or at least start the process of finding out who that is.

So don’t let time keep you hostage. Whatever you find yourself doing with your time right now, evaluate what God may be doing in you at this moment. If it’s uncomfortable, that’s okay. If you can’t see around the corner, that’s okay. If you don’t have all the answers, that’s ok.

Just do as I’m learning to do and using this time, to be with HIM.

If time has taken over your life and you need better balance or know how to listen to him, I would love to step through that process with you. Change your mindset and take control of your time.
