Discipleship

Tomorrow I speak at a Ladies Conference in Ohio which will include a Q&A. What in the world is God doing?
I will be speaking on and discussing Discipleship and during my preparation I found myself having some very strong emotions. Emotions around those who what be there discipling me.
Those women (well mostly) are spread from Texas to North Carolina to Kentucky. Some were older and some younger and some in between. I’ve shed tears about the fact that I have been so blessed by those that God placed in my path. He had a plan for sure!
The process has made me think about the names of those who loved me enough to allow me to be part of their lives.
* Some have gone to be with Jesus. Oh how I wish I could give the one more hug and tell them “Thank you, one more time”
* Some live in other states now and I’m grateful that we are blessed with the tools that I can still communicate my appreciation for them.
* Some no longer speak to me but I still cherish the input they had in my walk with Jesus.
* Some are still my neighbors (community) and I intentionally make room in my crazy days to spend time, face to face time, with them. Expressing, maybe not in words, but action how precious they are to me.
Now that I’m in my early 60s, I pray that I have gone forth to do what God has poured into me by pouring into others.

I encourage you, to appreciate those who give themselves to you and to prepare your hearts to give yourselves to others. Our greatest mission on this earth is to bring all we can bring to Christ. And that looks different for different people. But lean into God, asking Him to direct your next steps. It will be worth it, I promise.
