Forbearance

Galatians 5:22-23

But the fruit of the Spirit is forbearance…….. against such things there is no law.

Have you put much thought into the forbearance the Lord has given to you and will continue having with us?   And while thinking about that, do we have a spirit of forbearance with others?

for·bear·ance: patient self-control; restraint and tolerance.: tolerance,patience,resignation,endurance,fortitude,stoicism  -the action of refraining from exercising a legal right

Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 2:4 Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?

Romans 3:25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished

Lord, I know that I have about worn You out!  I pray Lord that I will keep that in mind while dealing with others.  That I will be able to show them Your love with patience and self control.  Loving as You have loved not as I feel.  Lord, I pray for my family and friends.  I pray they will come to You with the understanding that You have already died for them so they have nothing to fear in opening up to You and being real.  Knowing that Your patience is great and Your love is greater. Amen!
