Strategies

Ephesians 6:11  Amplified Bible

Put on the full armor of God [for His precepts are like the splendid armor of a heavily-armed soldier], so that you may be able to [successfully] stand up against all the schemes and the strategies and the deceits of the devil.

The devil has definitely been active in my life.  Pulling and tugging at me, trying to wear me down and  was more successful at it than I would like to admit.  He is crafty and will put thoughts into my head, making me have self-doubt, disbelief of God’s love for me and my worthiness of it.   He can do it through others, people we trust.  He can do it through things, the desires to “have” is a strong pull and sometimes a need to be accepted. He can do it through our careers, building our egos, filling the pride bank.  He can do it through just about anything there is out there.  And the only way that I’ve been able to fight it is to keep His armor on.  Stay in the word! Spending quiet time with Him! Surrounding myself with “safe” people, those that I know are Godly and willing to share with me in our weaknesses!  By being highly aware of the things that can entrap me and staying clear of them! By being honest with myself about my weaknesses and building my strength muscles!

If I can do it with the Lord’s help, you can too!  Put on the full armor of God.  Let Him fulling arm us so that we are able to stand up against all the schemes, strategies and deceits of the devil.

Lord, I am so grateful that You have provided me with Your armor. Giving me the strength and courage to stand firm against those around me who want to pull me down.  The workers of Satan!  I pray Lord that I will never lose sight of You.  I ask that You walk close to me always.  Lord I pray for my family and friends.  I pray they will allow You to equip them for their battles.  Amen!
