Psalm 119:50
My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.
These birds have found comfort in each other during the cold hard winds. They know instinctively that huddling up close to each other will help keep them warm. They know that this too shall pass, the spring will come and the promise of a sunny day is around the corner. The Lord created them that way. He also created us! He created us to need others in our lives to comfort us. To support each other when the cold hard winds start blowing us around. To hold each other up when we’re too weak to withstand the harshness of the world. The Lord knows exactly what we need and He is willing to give it to us. So, when we find ourselves trying to withstand the winds alone, remember Who created us and where we can go for comfort.
Lord I come to You today knowing that You alone are my comforter. Thankful that You have given me people in my life who have comforted me in the physical and helped me stay on the path to Your comfort for the eternal. I am grateful! Lord I pray for my family and friends. I pray that they will not feel alone in their pain. I pray they will seek out those who You have placed in their lives. I pray they will seek after Your comfort. Amen!
