Micah 7:8
Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.
A friend made this bench for me. I knew when I first saw it that I had to have one. It feels so inviting. Sometimes I just go out and sit on it alone. Sometimes I invite my husband or grandkids to sit with me. And then sometimes I feel that my Lord is there. And I ask Him, “Just sit with me a while”.
There are times in my life that are dark. Pain is taking over my soul and I have trouble seeing the light at the end. And then I remember…….”the Lord will be my light”, I just have to ask Him to sit with me a while.
Lord thank You for sitting with me. For caring enough about me to listen and for teaching me that sometimes I need to be the one listening. I cherish the times that we have together, just sitting. No awkward silence, no non-stop talking, just being. Lord I pray for my family and friends. I pray that they will find a place to just sit a while with You. Amen!
