Remember

Psalms 20:7

Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Well, I have to say that we prefer the Harley Davidson over chariots and horses.  This is a form of entertainment that my whole family enjoys.  This was a fantastic weekend.  We all rode from North Carolina, through Tennessee on the Tail of the Dragon and up to Kentucky to visit family.  For those of you that don’t know what that is,  the Tail of the Dragon at Deals Gap with 318 curves in 11 miles. For a motorcycle rider, that’s the place to go.  And the trip from there to Kentucky on the back roads is also breathe taking.   If you haven’t gone, even in a car, on a warm, sunny day…..roll down your windows and soak up some good country air.  I cherish the times that we are able to do something we all really love and do it together.  And talk about Free!  There is nothing like it!

It has been said, “If you’re not walking  Free, you’re not walking with the Lord”.   I don’t think harley riding is exactly what this is talking about but for me it’s pretty close.

What this is saying is that if you are carrying around a load of baggage.  Heavy, weighing you down and sucking every bit of life out of you, then you’re not walking Free.  In our walk, we can walk free knowing that the Lord has already carried that load for us.  He has released us to walk without guilt and shame, without fear or anger and without doubt and insecurities.  He will remember our sacrifices, He will give us, our hearts desires and make all our plans succeed.

Now this I know:
The Lord gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
with the victorious power of his right hand.
Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we remember the name of the Lord our God.
They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.
Lord, give victory to the king!
    Answer us when we call!

So walk Free! There is nothing like it!

Lord, my heart rests in You because I keep You close and remember all that You have shown me.  I thank You for never giving up on me.  Lord I ask You to be with my family and friends.  Bless them in their walk with You.   I pray they will walk Freely!  Amen!
