Life Worthy of the Gospel

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed, but that you will be saved—and that by God. For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him, since you are going through the same struggle you saw I had, and now hear that I still have.

Or Both?

You know there is a difference between the people that know something about being a Christian and those that actually know the ONE who empowers them to lead that Christian life.

In this day of living life for “me”, what does it look like to live life for “Christ”?  The title of “Christian” is getting a bad wrap these days.  And honestly, I can see why!

I encourage anyone that proclaims to be a “Christian” to dig deep into their souls and take a good look.  I for one, can tell you that I wouldn’t have to look very hard to find things in my life that are not very Christian like.   So daily I have to get up and be intentional about living my life by the blue print of Christ.  He is my only example of what it looks like to be a Christian.  He is my “One Thing” that is going to get me to heaven.

Lord I thank You for loving me and giving me a clear picture of who I need to be.  Please be with me as I walk my days and help me only have “one thing” on my mind and that is pleasing You.  Be with my family and friends, help them to see the truth.  Amen!
