Wisdom or Silenced

Proverbs 10:31

From the mouth of the righteous comes the fruit of wisdom, but a perverse tongue will be silenced.
Full Chapter Proverbs 10
In today’s world, we may not think that it’s that hard to figure out who is full of wisdom and whose tongue should be silenced.   It’s oh so easy to pick out the sins of others, pointing them out one by one.  Expecting change, almost demanding it!   But in reading Proverbs, we need to look within not outward.  Do those things exist within?  Are there changes that need to be made inside?  I should spend less time worrying about the sins of others and more time focusing on cleaning up the ones in my own house.
So today, take the dust mop to your home and let everyone else tend to theirs.   And if there is someone that you really, really care about, love them FIRST before you invite yourself into their home.
Lord, thank You! Help me to love first! Amen!
