Prayer

Romans 8:26  BibleGateway.com-Logo

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.

1 Peter 5:8 BibleGateway.com-Logo

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Prayer………… Do we take it seriously?  Do we really understand how impactful it can be on our life?  Do we really understand that it can change our life?  Do we really get that God IS listening to  us?  He wants us to come to him with our voice and heart!

If we did really understand, I bet there would be a lot more earnest prayer.  I have to admit that I take it for granted that God is here.  I throw up little prayers wanting God to catch them but how often do I sit and really “be still” with Him?  Like I was having a conversation with my best friend! Speaking and then listening, listening and then speaking.  Dwelling there beside Him, knowing that He is with me. Trusting that He is pleased that I have come to be with Him. Peaceful in His presence!

Our lives would be better and the lives of others that we pray for could change if we took more time with Him.

So when we’re tired, hurt, fearful, anxious, lonely, energized, happy, carefree and loved, go to Him and allow Him to make a difference!

And if for some reason the words just won’t flow…………..then simply “BE STILL” with Him!

Lord, thank you for being you! Thank you for always being a steady flow of love in my life. Thank you for keeping me on my path even when I’m wanting to swerve all over the place. Help me to remember the impact you have in my life and others.  Help me to :”be still” with You! I pray Lord for those who don’t know your power.  I pray that they will have someone come into their lives that will pray earnestly for them. I thank You and love You. Amen!
