Rest

Genesis 2:3

Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.

I’ve taken a liken coloring.  Some may think it silly but after a busy day or week, it’s restful to sit and create something beautiful.  Even God knew that after a full week of work that He needed a day of rest.  What is your rest? Or do you even know what that looks like?  Find something to rest in, whatever that something is.  And find peace with God as He shares that rest with you.

Lord I come to You today needing rest.  Rest from the burdens of this life.  I’m thankful Lord that I can come to You with anything and You will not be surprised or disappointed.  Your love for me goes deep and I can find rest in that.  I thank You for giving me things here on this earth that I can physically do or gaze upon that also gives me rest.  Please Lord be with my family and friends.  Let them feel Your presence and know that they too can rest in You.  Amen!
