Isaiah 35:1-3

The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God.

Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way;

Flowers, I just love them.  I hate seeing the end of summer turn into cold, because I know that the flowers will be gone for a while.  We are like flowers, we have seasons in our lives that we are blooming, growing and releasing a new fragrance. Then we also have the dying seasons. Where our souls feel like death and our joy is fading.  But just as a flower we will bloom again with the promises that the Lord gives us.  A season is just as it means “a period of time” which change is taking place. Reach out to the Lord during all seasons of life and see where He will have us bloom next.

Lord, seasons are hard to grasp.  Just as I settle in a season, a new one wants to emerge. I am reluctantly coming to understand the need for seasons in my life.  The need for the old to die away and the new to bloom.  Understanding that with every new season in my life, the bloom that You create in me will be that much more beautiful.  Lord, I pray that my family and friends will settle in whatever season that You have them in right now.  That they will hang on and enjoy the change of seasons in their lives. Amen!
